Odie (we, our, us) is a voice-to-notes application that helps users record, transcribe, and organize their ideas. Your privacy is extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we store it, and your rights over your data.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

If you create an account, we may collect basic information such as your email address and authentication details.

2.2 Voice Recordings & Transcriptions

  • We collect and store your voice recordings, AI transcriptions, and cleaned-up notes in our database.
  • This content is never sold, shared, or used to train third-party AI models.
  • You may delete your content at any time, and we will permanently remove it.

2.3 App Usage Analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog to collect anonymized product analytics such as:

  • Buttons clicked
  • Screens viewed
  • Feature usage events

We do not collect:

  • Personally identifiable browsing information
  • Device fingerprinting
  • Cross-platform tracking

2.4 Subscription & Billing Information (RevenueCat)

  • We do not store your payment information.
  • RevenueCat may receive basic device and app metadata for purchase validation.

2.5 AI Processing (OpenAI)

We use OpenAI to:

  • Transcribe audio
  • Generate improved note formats or cleanups

Your content is sent securely to the OpenAI API. According to their policies, data sent through the API is not used for training.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data for the following purposes:

  • Provide core app features (transcription, note organization)
  • Improve app performance and reliability
  • Manage subscriptions and entitlement access
  • Enhance user experience via analytics

We never:

  • Sell your personal data
  • Share your content with advertisers
  • Use your recordings or notes for AI training

4. How We Store & Protect Your Data

  • All data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption.
  • Data is transmitted with HTTPS/TLS.
  • Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.

If you delete your account, your content — including recordings, transcriptions, and notes — will be permanently removed.

5. Third-Party Services

Odie integrates with the following trusted providers:

  • OpenAI: AI processing
  • RevenueCat: Subscription and payment infrastructure
  • PostHog: Anonymous analytics

6. Your Rights

You may have rights depending on your jurisdiction, including:
